ConSTEM, short for 'Conservation STEM,' emphasizes the intersection of civic engagement and conservation behavior through the development of critical and systems thinking skills. Outputs of the ConSTEM project will include interactive hybrid resources and professional development opportunities focused on ocean conservation, science practices, and science learning. Content will focus on using North Atlantic right whales (NARW) to teach youth about human and ocean interactions, and how their actions can positively impact marine species while also building problem-solving skills and a systems-thinking perspective.
